1. Data Controller
The data controller is TickGig. For any matter concerning your personal data contact privacy@tickgig.com.
2. Data we collect
We collect: name, email, password (bcrypt-hashed), optionally phone, location, bio, skills, profile photo. When you post a job: title, description, category, budget, location, photos. Also technical logs (IP, browser) for security.
3. Purpose — Legal basis
We process your data under: (a) performance of service contract (Art. 6.1.b GDPR), (b) your consent for marketing (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), (c) legitimate interest for security & improvement (Art. 6.1.f GDPR).
4. Sharing with third parties
We do not sell your data. We share data only with: corresponding users of the Platform (Client↔Professional), infrastructure providers (cloud hosting, MongoDB), and advertising networks (Google AdSense — see section 6).
5. Your rights (GDPR)
You have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection. Exercise rights at privacy@tickgig.com. You may complain to the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).
6. Cookies & Advertising
We use functional cookies (required for login) and optional advertising/analytics cookies (Google AdSense, Google Analytics) activated only after your consent via the banner. You may withdraw consent at any time.
7. Data Retention
We retain your data while you maintain an account. Upon deletion, we keep certain data for 5 years for legal compliance (Greek Law 4624/2019).
8. Security
We apply technical and organisational security measures (HTTPS, password hashing, controlled access). In the event of a breach we notify you within 72 hours.
9. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA – USA)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to: know what personal information we collect and how it is used; request deletion of your personal information; correct inaccurate information; and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. TICKGIG DOES NOT SELL your personal information. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights. To exercise them, contact privacy@tickgig.com. You may also designate an authorised agent to act on your behalf.
10. Canada Privacy Rights (PIPEDA)
If you are in Canada, we handle your personal information in accordance with PIPEDA: we collect information only with your knowledge and consent, use it solely for the purposes described, keep it accurate and secure, and provide access to your information upon request. You may withdraw consent at any time (subject to legal/contractual limits) by contacting privacy@tickgig.com.
11. International Data Transfers
Your data may be processed on servers located in the EU and/or other jurisdictions. Where data is transferred outside the EEA/UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses). Our CDN (Cloudflare) may cache static content on globally distributed edge servers to improve loading speed for EU, US and Canadian users.
