1. Nature of the Service — Our intermediary role
TickGig (the "Platform", "we") is an online platform that operates EXCLUSIVELY as a TECHNICAL INTERMEDIARY between natural or legal persons seeking the provision of small-scale services ("Clients") and persons offering such services ("Professionals" or "Workers"). TickGig is NOT an employer, contractor, subcontractor, agent, recruitment broker, or insurance company, and is not a party to any agreement between Client and Professional. These terms are drafted under Greek Law 4727/2020, Presidential Decree 131/2003 (e-commerce), Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), Greek Law 4624/2019, and the Greek Civil Code.
2. No Financial Transactions through the Platform
The budget shown on a listing is STRICTLY INDICATIVE and constitutes a mere negotiation starting point. The TickGig Platform DOES NOT participate in, DOES NOT control and bears NO LIABILITY whatsoever for the final agreement, payment, or legality of the engagement. TickGig does NOT process, handle, or receive any funds on behalf of users. The transaction, invoicing, tax and social-security obligations occur exclusively and directly between Client and Professional, off-platform. The Platform charges no commission, subscription, or fee.
2a. Mandatory Compliance with Labour & Tax Law
Users must fully comply with applicable Greek and EU law: labour law (Law 4808/2021, Law 4554/2018 on undeclared work), tax law (Income Tax Code 4172/2013, VAT Law 2859/2000, Greek Accounting Standards 4308/2014), social-security law (EFKA, DYPA), and health & safety rules. Responsibility for invoicing, declaring income, and paying contributions lies EXCLUSIVELY with users.
2b. Prohibited Content
Listings of obscene, sexual, escort, prostitution, drug-related, weapon, or any illegal content are strictly prohibited. TickGig reserves the right to immediately remove such listings and the user account, without prior notice.
3. Full Disclaimer of Liability
TickGig bears no liability whatsoever for: (a) the quality, safety, legality, accuracy, or timely delivery of services offered or requested through the Platform, (b) any damages, harm, physical or moral, material or immaterial, arising from the agreement or execution of work, (c) the accuracy of statements, data, photos, or skills of users, (d) failure to perform agreements or disputes between users, (e) tax or insurance obligations of users. Users assume full responsibility and risk for the transaction between them.
3a. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, TICKGIG AND ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE, ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH ANY USER AGREEMENT, TRANSACTION, COMMUNICATION, SERVICE OR DISPUTE FACILITATED THROUGH THE PLATFORM. TICKGIG IS A FREE DIRECTORY AND PURELY TECHNICAL INTERMEDIARY; IT DOES NOT VET, EMPLOY, SUPERVISE, ENDORSE OR GUARANTEE ANY USER, PROFESSIONAL, CLIENT OR SERVICE, AND IS NOT A PARTY TO ANY AGREEMENT BETWEEN USERS. YOU USE THE PLATFORM AND DEAL WITH OTHER USERS ENTIRELY AT YOUR OWN RISK. WHERE LIABILITY CANNOT BE WHOLLY EXCLUDED BY LAW, TICKGIG'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED ZERO EUROS (€0), AS THE PLATFORM CHARGES NO FEES, COMMISSIONS OR SUBSCRIPTIONS.
3b. CLASS ACTION WAIVER
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, YOU AND TICKGIG AGREE THAT ANY DISPUTE, CLAIM OR CONTROVERSY SHALL BE RESOLVED ONLY ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. YOU EXPRESSLY WAIVE ANY RIGHT TO BRING, JOIN OR PARTICIPATE IN A CLASS ACTION, CLASS-WIDE ARBITRATION, COLLECTIVE ACTION, CONSOLIDATED ACTION OR REPRESENTATIVE PROCEEDING OF ANY KIND AGAINST THE PLATFORM. NO CLAIM MAY BE JOINED OR CONSOLIDATED WITH THE CLAIM OF ANY OTHER PERSON WITHOUT TICKGIG'S PRIOR WRITTEN CONSENT.
3c. Regional Compliance (EU / UK / USA / Canada)
TickGig serves users in the European Union, the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. We comply with the GDPR (EU) and UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the CPRA (USA), and PIPEDA (Canada). The specific privacy rights available under each framework are described in our Privacy Policy.
4. User Obligations
The user declares responsibly that: they are an adult (>18), they provide truthful information, they do not post illegal, misleading, offensive or pornographic content, they respect data-protection laws, they hold any required professional licence where applicable (e.g., electrical, plumbing of certain nature), and they indemnify TickGig in full for any third-party claim related to their conduct.
4a. Public Contact Details (Phone)
Adding a contact phone number to a listing is OPTIONAL. If the user chooses to add a phone number, they EXPRESSLY ACCEPT that it will be PUBLICLY VISIBLE to all visitors of the Platform (including unregistered users and search engines) and that they do so with their own free consent and responsibility, in accordance with the GDPR (Reg. EU 2016/679) and Greek Law 4624/2019. TickGig bears no liability for third-party use of the published number (e.g., unsolicited calls). The user may remove or change the number at any time by editing or deleting the listing.
5. Advertising
The Platform may display third-party advertisements (e.g., Google AdSense or other networks). Such ads do not constitute endorsement by TickGig. TickGig is not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of advertisers.
6. Intellectual Property
All content of the Platform (design, logo, code) belongs to TickGig. Content posted by users (text, photos) remains theirs, but they grant TickGig a non-exclusive, worldwide, free licence to display it on the Platform.
7. Suspension — Account Deletion
We reserve the right to suspend or delete any account that violates these terms, without prior notice. The user may request deletion of their account at any time.
7a. Automatic Listing Expiry (30 days)
Every listing is AUTOMATICALLY deleted 30 days after it is posted, if the user has not already deleted it themselves. This keeps content fresh and relevant. Users should re-post a listing if they still need the service.
8. Governing Law — Jurisdiction
These terms are governed exclusively by Greek Law. The competent Courts of Greece (Athens) shall have EXCLUSIVE jurisdiction over any and all disputes arising out of or relating to these terms or the Platform, regardless of the user's country of residence (including, without limitation, the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom or any EU member state) and regardless of conflict-of-laws principles. Before resorting to the courts, the parties will attempt an amicable settlement.
9. Amendments
We reserve the right to amend the terms. Material changes will be communicated via email or in-platform notice.
